Truck helps foodshelves keep up with demand

Keystone's Basic Needs program has purchased a used truck to support its three foodshelves.  "This truck drastically increases our capacity to receive and distribute food -- from donors, foodbanks, and among our three sites," said Christine Pulver, Basic Needs program manager. " It will be a great benefit to us as we keep up with the growing demand."

April was the largest month in the history of the Keystone's foodshelf programs, serving more than 5,900 individuals in one month.

Thanks to Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless for a grant which helped to cover the purchase of the truck.
